This is an engagement through Upwork’s Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork’s business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.

As a Program Manager, Talent Management on the Talent Management & Curation team, you will be responsible for the development, growth and implementation of initiatives related to the Expert-Vetted talent program. The Expert-Vetted talent program represents the top 1% of talent on Upwork, who are identified and pre-vetted by our Talent Managers - recruitment subject matter experts in their fields. This role will ensure that current and prospective Expert-Vetted talent have a seamless experience in both the pre and post-vetting process. With deep staffing and recruiting experience, you know what ‘great’ looks like. You have a bias for action, and ensure that internal partners and candidates who move through our process have an outstanding experience. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Talent Management. 

Work/Project Scope: 

  • Support the workflow of the pre and post-vetting process for talent in relation to the Expert-Vetted talent program.
  • Responsible for leading and managing individual projects including scoping program needs, strategy development and deployment.
  • Support Talent Managers to monitor, route and respond to internal and external requests.
  • Liaising with cross-functional partners to ideate and stand up initiatives.
  • Draft and maintain documentation, messaging, reporting, and metrics. 
  • Manage internal relationships with cross-functional partners including but not limited to Product, Engineering, and Marketing to maximize program success.

Must Haves (Required Skills): 

  • Experienced recruiting and sourcing leader with exposure to global talent.
  • Proficiency using ATS systems at an intermediate to expert level.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with experience balancing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience writing internally and externally facing documentation and messaging.
  • Has created, measured and deployed pre-vetting programs.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of global recruitment programs.
  • Metrics centric and data driven.
  • Experienced working with cross-functional partners including product, sales, delivery, recruiting, marketing and operations.
