IT Security Compliance Specialist

Energy Solutions is looking for an experienced IT Security Compliance Specialist to join our team. The Compliance Specialist will work hands-on performing day to day security and compliance activities. They will be expected to collaborate and build partnerships with multiple business units within our company and perform tasks with a high degree of professionalism and ethical standards. The ideal candidate for this role has skills in administrative security and compliance such as SOC 2 audits and security assessment questionnaires.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• SOC 2 audit evidence collection for annual audits 
• NIST 800-53 audit evidence collection for annual audits 
• Complete client security assessment questionnaires 
• Complete security questionnaires for RFPs 
• Complete questionnaires for annual Cyber Liability Insurance Questionnaires 
• Manage 3rd party vendor security assessment process 
• Perform annual security assessments for existing vendors 
• Perform new vendor security assessments ongoing 
• Monitor ticket queues for security related tickets 
• Respond in Slack to security related questions and threads 
• Deliver weekly new hire onboarding training 
• Create and deliver new trainings as needed 
• Deploy bi-annual security awareness training to all staff and track completion 
• Perform internal audits on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis, including Elevated Access Audits, Unauthorized Software Audits, Encryption Audits, MFA Audits, Antivirus Audits and more 
• Monitor industry channels for security alerts, such as CISA Alerts and CVE announcements 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• 2+ years of experience in compliance 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization 
• Thorough knowledge of security frameworks 
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks according to severity 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Security+ certification or other security/compliance certifications preferred but not required 
• Vendor management and security assessment process experience preferred but not required 

Salary DOE: $80,000 - $100,000/Annually

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
