Your Team:
You will join Seesaw as the second full-time member within our IT Organization, reporting directly to the Director of IT. Additionally, you will work alongside a small team of IT contractors from an external vendor who are responsible for managing day-to-day IT support tickets.

Our IT team plays a pivotal role in driving Seesaw’s success by ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our technology infrastructure. As part of a small but dynamic team, you will have the unique opportunity to work across our entire IT landscape, avoiding siloed responsibilities. This setup allows you to engage in a variety of tasks and projects, directly impacting our operations and supporting our mission to provide seamless and innovative educational solutions. You will be instrumental in building and creating new systems, not just maintaining existing ones. Your Role:
As our first ever dedicated Systems Administrator and second full-time member of the IT team, you will manage integrations across all internal applications and SSO, develop process improvement plans, and create detailed documentation around IT tools and processes. You will execute foundational tasks, such as completing our SSO initiative with core applications, integrating tools within Okta, and streamlining employee onboarding/offboarding processes for both full-time employees and contractors. Additionally, you will handle escalations from tier 1-2 tickets managed by our external IT contractors, ensuring robust process documentation and working closely with various internal teams, including People, Engineering/Security, Customer Support, and more.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Help to define, plan, manage, and execute large-scale, cross-organization programs, integrations, and migration efforts. Drive key initiatives, helping to break down projects into component parts, identifying & tracking dependencies and opportunities for optimization,
  • Integration and Process Improvement: Complete SSO integrations with core applications, integrate tools within Okta, and execute new integrations. Streamline onboarding and offboarding processes for both full-time employees and contractors
  • Security, Data, and Compliance: Manage security alerts and ensure compliance and data retention within our tools, including Google Workspace and Slack.
  • Support and Escalation: Act as the primary escalation point for tier 1-2 tickets handled by our third-party IT contractor, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for processes, tools, and integrations to ensure consistency and clarity across the IT organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including the People Team for onboarding/offboarding and equipment management, Engineering/Security, Customer Support, and other internal business units to ensure seamless IT operations and project execution.

Your Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in an IT role, with 2+ years as a Systems Administrator.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, and Okta for SSO (or similar SSO products).
  • Experience with product/tool integrations (API/scripting experience is highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in documenting processes and implementing process improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective solutions for complex IT challenges. 
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience with data backup, disaster recovery planning, and execution.
  • Expertise in network administration and security, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools for system performance and health.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • A strong understanding of IT security practices and the ability to manage security alerts and ensure compliance with data retention policies.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or candidates with professional certifications preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry. Salary is just one part of our total compensation package that includes equity, perks & benefits, and development opportunities at Seesaw. Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity relative to other Seesawers. It is our expectation that the majority of candidates who are offered roles at Seesaw will land well within our salary ranges based on these factors.

The hiring salary range for this position is  $111,959 - $122,455 + RSUs. This is an exempt position.
