• Design and Develop Data Pipelines: Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and store data from various sources.
• Database Management: Create and manage data models, schemas, and databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from disparate sources into unified datasets that support analytical and reporting needs.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize database and pipeline performance to handle large volumes of data with minimal latency.
• Data Quality and Governance: Implement data validation, cleansing, and monitoring procedures to ensure high data quality and compliance with governance policies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, pipelines, and architectures.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve data-related issues, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of data systems.
• Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and propose improvements to current processes and systems.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with SQL databases (e.g., snowflake).
• Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Airflow).

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Knowledge of data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Familiarity with data privacy and security best practices.
