Senior Manager, Vendor Contracting & Partnerships

The Senior Manager, Vendor Contracting & Partnerships serves as WelbeHealth’s enterprise leader for vendor contracting strategy, governance, and partnership performance. This role owns the end-to-end contract lifecycle and establishes scalable standards, decision frameworks, and operating practices that strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and improve efficiency and stakeholder visibility to support WelbeHealth’s growth. Partnering closely with functional and executive leaders, the Senior Manager, Vendor Contracting & Partnerships translates organizational priorities into contracting and vendor strategies, leads complex negotiations, and provides clear recommendations on high-impact business decisions. This role is also accountable for shaping the vendor portfolio, identifying and evaluating potential partners, and building accountable relationships that improve operations and advance our mission.

• Plays a critical role in WelbeHealth’s continued growth by shaping the organization’s vendor portfolio, strengthening strategic partnerships, and developing contracting practices that support operational excellence, financial sustainability, and high-quality care

On the day-to-day, you will:

• Serve as WelbeHealth’s enterprise subject matter expert in vendor contracting, advising functional and executive leaders on contract structure, risk, negotiation strategy, and business tradeoffs
• Own the development, standardization, adoption, and continual refinement of contract templates, playbooks, approval workflows, and governance standards to ensure the contract lifecycle is compliant, efficient, and scalable
• Lead strategic sourcing and vendor selection for complex, high-impact needs, ensuring potential partners align with operational requirements, organizational values, and long-term goals
• Lead complex and high-value negotiations, balancing commercial value, operational needs, risk, service quality, and long-term partnership potential
• Establish and maintain scalable contracting operating procedures, governance standards, and service expectations, as well as monitor adoption and address gaps across the organization
• Use portfolio, performance, risk, and spend insights to recommend priorities and improvement opportunities that strengthen business results and participant impact
• Set the approach for vendor performance management, including risk assessments, business reviews, escalation pathways, and joint improvement plans, as well as ensure actions and outcomes are tracked to completion

Job requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, logistics, or contract management preferred; Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIP) or NVQ certifications a plus
• Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in strategic vendor contracting, procurement, sourcing, or vendor management, preferably in a complex, multi-state healthcare or senior care organization
• Minimum of three (3) years of people leadership experience with demonstrated success building team capability, coaching performance, and developing future leaders
• Experience implementing and fostering adoption of contract management platforms (e.g., Jaggaer, Coupa, SAP Ariba)
• Executive-level communication and influence skills, with the ability to frame options, clarify tradeoffs, and build alignment across Legal, Finance, Technology, Compliance, and operational leadership
• Demonstrated experience using data-driven analysis to guide decisions, assess vendor performance and risk, evaluate total cost of ownership, and communicate measurable business value
• Demonstrated ownership of complex end-to-end contracting and vendor initiatives, including sourcing strategy, request for proposal development, negotiation, execution, implementation, performance management, and renewal
• Ability to travel to other WelbeHealth locations as needed.
