Software Engineering Associate Director

Energy Solutions is currently seeking a passionate, experienced, and driven Software Engineering Associate Director for our Information Systems team.  

As a Software Engineering Associate Director, you will bring your experience as a senior software leader to our team. As a hands-on manager, you will help your team build systems that will serve the software needs of the company and our clients.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

• Lead and develop our software engineering team, including managing performance and developing staff in their soft and hard skills. 
• Work with Associate Directors of Product to define API integrations, including analysis, documentation, and planning with engineers and sometimes third parties. 
• Work with cross functional teams to help define and execute predictable software delivery goals. 
• Partner with Software Solutions to document and routinely track scope, schedule, and budgets for software projects.  
• Work with other departments and the Software Solutions group to develop budgets to co-fund the infrastructure they need us to build to enable their work for clients. 
• Do the necessary internal evangelism and education for building reliable, secure, performant, scalable, maintainable, and truly usable software systems. 
• The position is remote with the optional move into one of our offices  

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, related technical field or equivalent technical experience  
• A minimum of 15 years professional experience 
• 10 years software engineering experience 
• 4 years hiring and managing a team of software engineers 
• 2 years managing vendors and partners working with API integrations 
• Deep understanding of Software Product Development Lifecycle 
• Experience building end to end architecture using distributed components 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Compensation to commensurate with experience with the pay band of  $150,000 - $165,000/Annually 

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Office Locations and a Remote Workforce
